In this episode, we speak with Doug Duren; a land management specialist, conservationist, and hunter. Some of you may know Doug from his appearances on the excellent MeatEater T.V. show. Doug is a highly experienced whitetail hunter and a very careful thinker about hunting. Topics discussed in this episode include beginners’ approaches to hunting, hunting ethics, and tips for whitetail hunting in varying terrain. Doug was very generous with his knowledge and insight. This episode will be of especial interest to beginner listeners who, like us, don’t have many (or any) experienced hunting mentors. It was an absolute pleasure for us to speak with someone who cares so much about hunting and who sees value in new people taking it up.
